Providence Christian Cross Country began the fall season at the Biola Inviational this past weekend.
Providence runners began the fall campaign at the Biola Invitational for the second straight year. Junior Javier Beswick has been anxious to compete and led the team through the five mile course. Cross Country newcomer Colin Vis, who ran track in the Spring, followed closely behind. Cross Country veterans Dean Whitcher and Kyle Huckins rounded out the team's effort.
Veteran Ruth Fleeman ran the course for the second straight year to begin the season. Beswick said "I've been baptized into racing and I know I can go faster. It's time to put the work in."
The team continues the season next Saturday, September 16, at the UC Riverside Inviational. The team promises to celebrate Coach Wilson's birthday with several PR's.
