The men's and women's soccer programs are gearing up for their second intercollegiate athletics season, and the first season with a full conference schedule in the California Pacific (CalPal) conference of the NAIA. Additionally, as new members of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA), the teams have an opportunity for playoffs and a bid at a National Championship title.
Women's soccer adds 16 new student athletes to the roster, made up of nine incoming freshmen and seven transfer students. Incoming student athletes come locally from state of California but also as far as Texas. These athletes will add to the strong core defense made up of senior goalkeeper Melissa Paramo, and a sophomore defense including Alyssa Bestian, Becca Burney, and Alexis Vasquez.
On the men's side, returning seniors Pablo Garcia and Nick Saldivia will lead the way for the sea beggars, with a number of returning sophomores. Goalkeeper Josiah Vanderveen, midfielders Alex Cabral and Kyle Whitt, and defender Taylor Bredenhof add to the core group of returners, and sophomores Kevin Geddes, Bradd Henderson, and junior Seth Awuah return after redshirting last season. The team adds 10 new freshman athletes and two transfers to the roster, who will provide ample depth to the team this year.
